Description

Composting with worms can be a very nice hobby, but unfortunately it doesn't always go well. A lot can go wrong, for example, if it has been too hot in a worm tower.

It is not always necessary to throw everything away. With the (Re)Start Pack for Worm Tower and Hunrybins you can boost the Worm Tower again so that the worms still present can recover.

Growing soil for worms

This breeding ground is specially made to allow worms to grow optimally. we also use this soil in the nursery. It is always handy to have extra worm growing soil in case you want to make adjustments in wet situations or when things don't seem to go well, but also super handy when you go on holiday. Or to restart the Hungry bin again.

Worm food

Super handy to have for when you want to go on holiday and someone is looking after the worm tower. With a simple instruction this is an easy way to feed the worms when you are not present. Also useful when you have little or no G.F.T. to feed or if you would like to have a lot of worms quickly.

2 Hemp mats

Do you suffer from fruit flies or do the worms keep crawling into the drip tray? This is large and can be partly remedied with a hemp mat. (Suffer from fruit flies read here what else you can do about it)

When you give fresh food to the worms, you usually cannot avoid that fruit flies also end up in the worm mentors. When hemp is placed mat over the food, the air can still pass through it well, but the fruit flies cannot. In this way, the present fruit flies cannot reach the fresh food and can therefore not lay eggs. As a result, the population of fruit flies is slowly declining.

In addition, the hemp mat can also be used to close the drip tray so that it is a lot more difficult for the worms to get lost in the drip tray.

lava flour

Essential in a worm tower. It can go well for a long time without lava flour, but sooner or later you will need it. Maybe against fruit flies or maybe to get the pH optimal again. In any case, a worm bin that is regularly sprinkled with lava flour generally gives less problems. And as a bonus, the worm manure is also better due to the minerals present.
