1. How does a worm tower work?

A clay worm tower has several levels where compost worms turn your kitchen waste into worm castings. Add organic waste at the top; once a tray is full, move to the next and harvest the bottom tray.

2. Why doesn’t this worm tower have a drainage tap?

Clay evaporates excess moisture naturally, so no foul-smelling leachate forms and all nutrients stay in the castings.

3. What waste can I add?

• Fruit and vegetable scraps

• Shredded cardboard or unbleached paper

• Plant trimmings

• Small amounts of cooked food

• Not in freezing temperatures (worms and clay are sensitive)
