Forage Rye can be sown as a green manure until late in the season (August-October). This crop is tolerant to frost, provides a quick effective groundcover, and is deep rooting.

Ingredients & recipe

75 g of winter rye seeds (Secale cereale).

How to use it

Sow August–October, 2–3 cm deep, approximately 100 kg/ha. Mow after winter and incorporate residue to prevent regrowth.
