Japanese oats are an excellent green manure crop, which is also particularly suitable for later sowing. Sowing time: April-September. It emerges very quickly, produces a lot of crop and is strong against weeds. The plants have very deep roots, are sensitive to structure and contribute to an unsuitable soil life. The crop can withstand the first night frost, but will freeze to death in severe frost. Japanese oats are also an alternative to Tagetes, also suitable for surviving nematodes. Sowing density: 80-100 kg/ha.
