Use and Application

Preparation

• Loosen the soil and remove existing weeds.

• Optionally add worm compost or organic fertilizer to feed the soil before applying the mulch.

Application

• Spread an even layer of Miscanthus Mulch over the soil.

• A layer of 3–5 cm is suitable for vegetable beds and borders.

• For long-term use or weed suppression in established plantings, apply 5–6 cm.

Maintenance

• Add a thin top layer annually if necessary.

• A portion of the mulch may be lightly incorporated into the topsoil in spring or autumn to stimulate humus formation.

For sowing and planting

• Plant or sow crops and water well. For newly sown plants, apply a very thin layer to prevent weeds.
