The annual marigold is easy to grow, a beautiful ornamental plant and also suitable for medicinal and compact applications. Blooms with single orange flowers with a dark heart. Flowering time from June-October.

Also known as a border plant along the houses against ants. Very suitable as a cut flower. But also as an enrichment of your food, the marigold can serve as decoration, seasoning in stews or as leaves for tea.

Ingredients & recipe

2 grams of calendula seeds (Calendula officinalis), approximately 100 seeds per gram.

How to use it

Pre-sow in April–May and plant out in May–June at 20 × 20 cm in the sun. Use as a cut flower or use the edible petals as garnish, flavouring or in tea.
