The large-flowered sunflower is a true classic. This gigantic cut flower can even reach more than two meters in height. The plant has an unbranched stem and a large yellow flower with a dark heart. The large black seeds are edible and can be harvested from mid-September. The mature seeds detach easily and can be removed right away, but chances are the finches will beat you to it. Birds love the seed. Also an excellent plant for bees!
Dry the flowerbeds well, as they mold quickly.

How to use it
- Sow directly in May–June at 40 × 40 cm in the sun.
- Flowers in July–September; suitable as a cut flower.
