Red beet 'Egyptian flat round' is an early variety and suitable to watch out for. This beet has a sweet taste. The beets cannot be transplanted. Carefully, the second half of May is the best sowing period.

With cultivation in a greenhouse you can very well sow beets in February and March. Sowing time April to July; Carefully, the second half of May is the best sowing period. Distance between the rows 30 cm, later thin out to 7 to 10 cm, do not transplant. It is quite possible to take care: in the autumn before frost, pull up the beets, turn off the foliage and place the ink in sand in a frost-free place. Grows best in a sunny spot that is good the year before.

8 grams of ‘Egyptische platronde’ beetroot seeds, approximately 50 seeds per gram.

How to use it

Sow in a greenhouse in February–March or outdoors from April–July at 30 × 10 cm; do not transplant.
For storage, preferably sow in the second half of May.
Harvest before frost, twist off the foliage and store in sand in a frost-free place.
