Endive 'Number Five2' is by far the most commonly cultivated type. Broad-leaved with a well-filled heart and a soft taste. Excellent for stews and for stewing.

You should take into account that early shooters can disappear during sowing in the spring. Most endive is sown in the open ground in the period mid-June to mid-July. In this way, men can enjoy this crop well into autumn. This variety can be sown under glass from March. The planting distance should be about 30x35 cm; Closer plants do not produce a higher yield and the risk of blemish is greater. Pre-sowing is possible.

TIP: also suitable as a baby leaf (sowing period: May-Aug)!
